Most author newsletters are f*cking boring. Not this one.
Hi. I'm Jackson Ford. I write sci-fi and fantasy books. And I've decided to do something almost no other author actually does: make an email newsletter that's actually worth reading.
Think about it. Most author newsletters that land in your inbox are incredibly dull. A bland round up of new bits with pleas to buy their books. They arrive once every few months or three times a week and that’s it. Nobody wants to read that shit.
Well, this newsletter is different. It's called Sh*t Just Got Interesting, and it's filled with stuff you'll actually want to read.
Here's the breakdown:
It's free. Always and forever. No paid subscription tiers.
It comes once a week at exactly the same time (Thursdays at 8AM EST)
It's not just about books. Sure, there are plenty of those (I write some good ones), but I also talk about pop culture, music, video games, and whatever happens to be on my mind that week. Here are some recent ones:
Rubber Chicken Death Match (this was one weird interlude, let me tell you…)
It always has photos of my dogs at the bottom. Guaranteed.
- Not a fan? One-click unsubscribe, and you can keep the free book.
Oh, did I not mention the free book you get when you sign up?
Why the hell not? Here’s a free audiobook, published under my real name, written, recorded and mixed by me. Free, gratis, mahala, because you’re awesome and I like surprising you with cool shit.
Crush Depth is not like any other games company. Every day, over a single hour, they create a massive, new, multiplayer online game from scratch. That hour is called Crunch, and the company – led by the enigmatic Henry December – has come to dominate the gaming world.
Daniela Swartz is one of Henry’s animators. She’s deeply loyal to Crush Depth, and would do anything for the company. But when she discovers evidence of corporate espionage, Daniela decides to investigate. And she’s about to find out that not everything at Crush Depth is what it appears to be…
